For almost two decades I am interested in wild growing European orchids. Within this period I visited many locations in Germany and many European countries for the research of orchids. Until now I have found on my excursions 219 species, in addition dozens variants and hybrids, as well as thousands photos taken. A small selection of my collection I will show you on the next sites.

First I have used an analog SLR camera with standard objectives. Over the years I have approached more and more the macro range. To begin with usage of close-up lenses, intermidiate rings and later also with usage of an inverter ring. Several methods have only produced second-class qualities so that I switched on the usage of a digital SLR camera with a macro objective and a ring flash two years ago.
